SALMON / KING SALMON

     For an experience like few others, Pat Abel Guide Service provides full services to catch both Spring and Fall Chinook.
The Spring Chinook trips are on the Willamette and Columbia Rivers. The trips start in March and run thru mid-June. Spring Chinook are a Northwest Prize fish know for their wonderful table faire. Though smaller than the Fall Kings, they are strong fighting fish.

     The Fall Chinook King Salmon season runs from August thru December. Stay dry and warm aboard Pat's beautiful covered boat. The trips are on the Lower Columbia until mid September, and then the Action moves to Tillamook Bay and other Oregon North Coast Rivers. The fall Chinook (kings) Range in size from 10 to over 60 Lbs. These big strong fish average 25-35 Lbs., but fish over 60 Lbs. are caught every year.

STURGEON

     Fishing in the waters of the Lower Columbia, Pat Abel Guide Service offers exciting trips for feisty Sturgeon.

     The lower Columbia has literally millions of Sturgeon migrating through in the warm spring month of April through the summer months until August. This fish will be in areas of shallow water and light gear makes for an exciting time when fighting the fish. Hooking 30-40 fish is not unusual.

     Sturgeon is an excellent eating fish as well.

     Your catch is cleaned and bagged at the end of the day for you as well.

STEELHEAD

     Pat Abel Guide Service has been floating the rivers of the North Coast for decades. His knowledge and experience of these Rivers and hard fighting fish is top notch.

     As you float down the beautiful North Coast Rivers in his heated 17 ft. Willie drift boat you will be provided with a great likelihood of hooking into a Steelhead. The trips start in late November and run thru March. Pat uses a variety of fishing methods and quality tackle for all fishing skill levels to catch fish.

     Pat has personally worked on the Broodstock Project to increase the odds of catching a hatchery fish and/or a native that can run up to 20 pounds. Catching fantastic steelhead is an unforgettable experience.

SHAD

     The shad trips are great for children and adults. These trips occur on the Columbia and Willamette Rivers during May and June and are fun-filled action packed to keep the kids busy catching these strong fighting fish.

     Pat provides all the gear and tackle for all Ages and sizes. Book these trips for first timers to get them hooked on fishing!
