This was a Husband and Wife trip on 2-14-08 The Length, was 38" the Girth, was 20.5 = 20.3 lbs. Now, for the bad part, It was her 1st Steelhead. Shimano, Cennan 9' rod Shimano Saros reel 8# Gamma line, and a red #2 Mustad hook. The fish was caught on the Nestucca River.

Well it's spring Chinook time, and Oregon Dept. Of Fish and Wildlife are predicting the 3rd largest return since 1977. The season is based on preliminary run projections that 269,300 fish will return to the Columbia river, and 34,000 fish will make it up the Willamette river.

Now is the time to start planning your spring Chinook trips, and spring Sturgeon trips. As you can see the spring season will be very productive this year.

This year I have my boat moored at Harbor One Marina 3307 N.E. Marine Dr. (Near the Portland airport) So we can just hop in the boat and go!!!
